Partial orders for zero-sum arrays with applications to network theory

چکیده
In this contribution we study partial orders in the set of zero-sum arrays. Concretely, these partial orders relate to local and global hierarchy and dominance theories. The exact relation between hierarchy and dominance curves is explained. Based on this investigation we design a new approach for measuring dominance or stated otherwise, power structures, in networks. A new type of Lorenz curve to measure dominance or power is proposed, and used to illustrate intrinsic characteristics of networks. The new curves, referred to as D-curves are partly concave and partly convex. As such they do not satisfy Dalton’s transfer principle. Most importantly, this article introduces a framework to compare different power structures as a whole. It is shown that D-curves have several properties making them suitable to measure dominance. If dominance and being a subordinate are reversed, the dominance structure in a network is also reversed. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Distribution Design of Two Rival Decenteralized Supply Chains: a Two-person Nonzero Sum Game Theory Approach
We consider competition between two decentralized supply chains network under demand uncertainty. Each chain consists of one risk-averse manufacturer and a group of risk-averse retailers. These two chains present substitutable products to the geographical dispensed markets. The markets’ demands are contingent upon prices, service levels, and advertising efforts of two supply chains. We formulat...
متن کاملOn orders induced by implications
In this paper, the orders induced by the residual implications obtained from uninorms are investigated. A necessary and sufficient condition is presented so that the ordinal sum of fuzzy implications satisfies the law of importation with a t-norm $T$. Some relationships between the orders induced by an ordinal sum implication and its summands are determined. The algebraic structures obtained fr...
متن کاملA New Moment Bound and Weak Laws for Mixingale Arrays without Memory or Heterogeneity Restrictions, with Applications to Tail Trimmed Arrays
We present a new weak law of large numbers for dependent heterogeneous triangular arrays fyn;tg with applications to tail trimming. The law follows from a new partial sum moment bound Ej Pn t=1 yn;tj p K Pn t=1 Ejyn;tj p for zero mean Lp-mixingale arrays fyn;t;=tg, p 2 [1; 2], where =t is a - eld. We do not require uniform integrability, nor restrict mixingale dependence or heterogeneity. The w...
متن کاملAnalysis and Diagnosis of Partial Discharge of Power Capacitors Using Extension Neural Network Algorithm and Synchronous Detection Based Chaos Theory
Power capacitors are important equipment of the power systems that are being operated in high voltage levels at high temperatures for long periods. As time goes on, their insulation fracture rate increases, and partial discharge is the most important cause of their fracture. Therefore, fast and accurate methods have great importance to accurately diagnosis the partial discharge. Conventional me...
متن کاملAdaptive beamforming in row-column addressed arrays for 3D ultrasound imaging
In recent years, to reduce the complexity of implementation, the use of 2D arrays with restricted row-column addressing has been considered for 3D ultrasound imaging. In this paper, two methods of adaptive beamforming based on the minimum variance method are represented in such a way that the computational load is much less than using the full adaptive beamforming method. In both proposed metho...
